October for us this year meant apple picking, pumpkin carving and Halloween of course. John LOVES Halloween. Growing up, his extended family on his mom's side always had a big Halloween party with a big bonfire, food, fire works and a pretty intense pumpkin carving contest. There is some pretty artistically talented people in his family. They still have this party and John always wishes he could be home for it. Because he was in a cast this year he was unable to carve a pumpkin. To top it off he had to be in Baltimore for a conference on Halloween, first without dad:( So here's October.

The costumes (as Aiden and Abby are a bit older now, they have their own ideas for costumes. No more theme for this family) Aiden - Harry Potter, Abby - Fluttershy (a My little Pony, if you've never seen the show you wouldn't have a clue but she loved this costume), Ben - "Ben" the builder, Charlie - Hedwig (Harry Potter's owl)
