It's all about ABBY!

Abby turned 2 this week. Crazy!! I can't believe how quickly she is growing. We LOVE this girl. She is strong willed (ok, stubborn), independent, energetic, daring (far more than I'd like her to be), funny, loving and very sweet. She loves to talk and it doesn't seem to bother her that we can only understand about 10% of what she's saying. She gives the best hugs and loves kisses, getting them that is. If we ask for a kiss she moves her head toward ours with her forehead close to our lips ready for us to plant one on her. She gives the most enthusiastic "yayyyyyy!!" when either of us walk in from being out even if it was just to go downstairs to get the mail. She adores her big brother and likes to know where he is and what he's doing. At the playground if she can't see Aiden she'll say, "where'd e go?" then as soon as she spots him yells,"Adi, me!" ("Aiden, come here") as she becons with her hand for him to come. She has a way of capturing the attention of everyone around her. There is actually a cashier at our local Walmart that knows her by name and stops whatever she's doing (even if she's with a different customer) to say hi to Abby. We love our little girl and feel very blessed to have her in our family.

Now on to documentation of the festivities. Her birthday was on Wednesday. Grandma joined us via the internet for the family celebrations. She got to open a few gifts and blow out a candle on a very pink frosted cupcake. Here's a few pictures.

A vacuum from Grandma and Grandpa Streibel.

"It's a bebe!"
"ohhhhhhh"
Ready...
blow!
Blowing isn't working, I think I'll just eat the flame (don't worry, she's not as close as she looks).

Out.

Mmmmm frosting.

No need for this now that there's no more frosting.

There, no one will ever know.
The celebrations continued Saturday at a local park where we gathered with friends to celebrate our little girl as well as a friends little girl who is also turning 2 this month. It was great to join forces, especially when we share the same friends. Thanks Kristen for the idea.

The Birthday girls (yes these cars belong to the park, and actually stay there).

The spread.

My birthday cake creation (just don't look too closely:)

Birthday girls blowing out their candles.

Oooooo presents.

Crayons and a tutu, what more could a girl ask for?

Pooped out party girl.

Keep your eye out for an upcoming video of Abby on her birthday!

Those are beautiful pictures! She is growing up so quickly. It is crazy! Looks like a great park party.

Just the other day, we were driving down McMaster and we passed the lake and Carter said, "That is where my friend Aiden had a birthday!" I'm shocked he remembers that so long ago, but he did. He wants Aiden to come over and play this week. You up for it?

Happy birthday Abby! Hard to believe 2 years ago you were here taking care of me while she was just a little baby.
